I have been sick lately. I had both a knee and neck problem. The neck problem started after letting my Chiropractor twist my neck. This happened before and I then started feeling spasms in my neck. The chiropractor, whom I like, tried to say this doesn’t happen. But it did and I will not let him twist my neck again.
But I have noticed that when my house becomes cluttered my life starts to get blocked! Yes this may only be a coincidence but I also believe that feelings and automatic thoughts can trigger muscle spasms in conjunction with a physical problem! It is not one or the other but a combo of the two.
It is like the Chiropractor’s twist caused a problem but my underlying feelings attached themselves to my neck and made it worse!
None the less I will not let my chiropractor adjust my neck again especially when I did not see him for a neck problem but a knee and lower back problem.
Instead of doing heavy cleaning I am going to pamper myself!
Yes what is wrong with pampering oneself? I feel it is like “priming the pump”. I live alone and I seem to be subject to stress because of that.
Some friends would say that I should be glad that I am not married as their marriage causes them stress. That may be true but believe me as you get older you don’t want to live alone. But again I would not want some who is a nagger pushing me to clean house.
I know I need to clean more but when someone tries to push me it only evokes strong resistance. (Like they are a pain in the neck 🙂 )
Well folks as you can see this site is also a “journal” through travels through procrastination and depression. I am not just listing advice but my problems. I think this helps me and hopefully you too. I say this because some of my posts may appear that I am only giving advice! That is not true; I am a sufferer just like you sharing both my ups and downs.
Listing my downs helps me get rid of them and may let you identify your own triggers from my experience. When I list advice as in the non-journal posts, that is also advice to me from my nurturing inner parent to my inner child and you get to see the dialog! 🙂
Take care till next time!
